Eritrea Travel: ASMARA’s Hotels (Part 1)

Asmara Eritrea’s capital is situated on the eastern edge of Eritrea’s highland plateau. Asmara enjoys a great climate, clean and picturesque streets, attractive palm trees, and a reputation as one of the safest, calm and alluring capital cities in Africa. “The people of Eritrea will always make you feel welcome and the country will always provide a diversity of activities and experiences that will have you wanting to come back for more.” “Asmara is, by any standards, a very safe, picturesque and relaxed capital. ” Eritrea – The Bradt Travel Guide “Constructed almost entirely between 1936 and 1941, Asmara was effectively a blank canvas on which its Italian colonizers were able to design and build their own urban utopia in East Africa…… owing to Asmara’s relative obscurity and distance from Europe, the architects and engineers who came to practice there could escape the constraints imposed on their activities in the more conservative European environment, making it an even more exceptional city” Asmara – Africa’s Secret Modernist City Source: www.asmera.nl Asmara is located in E. Asmara & Hargeisa are the moste BEAUTIFUL eats africa

  3. Everything you said about Eritrea is UNTRUE. Eritrea is by far better than the rest of the countries in the region. It will soon out strip everyone of them even by miles, there will bo no comparison between Eritrea and the countries around it. Coca cola is an American company, they are experiencing economic crunch and closed almost every company outside the US, Eri is not the only place they closed coca cola at. Even then, its their loss, there is a consumer of their product, so it’s their loss.

  8. Never mind about Eritrea, but if we look at Ethiopia a country with so much resources, yet the most poverty and disease ridden country for the last. . God knows how many years, is deteriorating to unrecoverable tragedy. Instead of lecturing get off your lazy backside and do something. Isaias Afewerki is leading not only Eritrea, but also Africa into becoming self-reliant. You have Meles Zenawi the physically unhygienic puppy who is riding you and your people. You should do something about that.

  9. Eritrea is gorgeous!!! Asmara is one of plenty of cities that offer the same peaceful, beautiful ambience. and this ambience is created by the one and only ERITREAN PEOPLE!!!!

  11. I like your honesty unlike some people who try to deny the situation in Eri.

  12. Asmara city of hungry people thin. A place where people eat only one meal a day. So sad. I was there in 2008. For a flat spaghetti bolognese, you can get the prettiest girl Eritrea night. Again for some spaghetti. You can see how desperate people are.

  24. quikman, you are not being biased. It is a fact. Beautiful does not constitute high rise buildings and express ways and crooked inhabitants.
Asmara is small, clean, crime free well planed city with charming and couregeouse people which no other people in the world have. So, bro keep your head up and tell the world what is the truth.
