Here are a few tips that for anyone who wants to travel to South Africa. Their law prohibits smoking in most public spaces including airports and railway stations. Most restaurants have also designated smoking and non-smoking areas. Be aware also that tipping is a common practice in South Africa for a range of services. In restaurants, the accepted standard is around 10% of the bill.
I recommend getting a hired car -public transport is not very jacked up. Definitely go to Cape Town -and up Table Mountain. If you want to travel between cities. . . there are a few budget airlines you could used that are much cheaper than SAA. They are: Mango, Kulula and 1time. I recommend going to Addo Elephant Park in the eastern Cape. . . . it is a game reserve that has Elephant freely roaming around.
Enjoy it!
South Africa has some very diverse regions and climates, so you should consider when planning your trip. September is spring in our country and is the perfect time for a safari to see wild animals in their natural environment. Meanwhile in northern days pleasant and mild, although mornings and evenings are cool, but Bush is rare, and you are sure to be rewarded with a good observing games. Spring in the Western Cape is the moment you can see the annual migration of whales, particularly around Cape Town and Hermanus is also a time when you will be rewarded with truly spectacular displays of wildflowers can be seen up ‘to the west coast of Cape Town. A Durban, Kwazulu Natal, which has a subtropical climate, the time, this time the weather would be nice today and nuit.Enfin September is still considered low season, and none of the places you visit will be invaded by tourists.
