Okay it depends where you live, and how old the family members are. I live in St. Louis and here is a list of places that we really enjoyed and how a lot to do.
First I will start off with St. Louis, only because I live here. There is a ton of stuff to do here. We have a Free zoo, and science center that are both wonderful. We also have a ton of stuff to do in Forest Park. We have the Arch and the Caridnals, going to Cards game is always fun. We have the Magic House which is nice for smaller kids. We have the City Musuem which is for all ages and is not really a musuem at all but, it truly is a gem. We have Grants Farm and 6 flags good fun there check out this website for more info and a travel pack:

Another City that a lot of people miss is Mephis. There is a lot of stuff for kids to do in Memphis. The Memphis Children’s Musuem is wonderful. The Memphis Redbirds is a AAA baseball team, their stadium is VERY kid friendly and very cheap to take the whole family to a game. Also be sure to stop by the Peabody and see the ducks kids just love them. Trust me there is more than just Beale and Elvis there. Here is their site:

Well I hope this helps you I tried to give you a wide variety since I don’t know your starting location. The best advice I can give you is contact the cities visitors center. These people are locals, helpful and they want you to visit their city. They are like free travel agents. You can contact them with the ages of the members of the family and they can give you some great ideas. They can also send you a free visitors packet which always has a ton of coupons which really helps save money on family trips. Good luck! Have a great trip.
