There is little or no sightseeing on the island but the beaches are great. Its a dry island, not green at all, and its windy there all of the time. But the wind keep the bugs and humidity away; so that’s good.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency, rated by the Travel Channel as one of the top ten resorts in the entire Caribbean, and it was wonderful. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated, the grounds are spectacular, the beach is flawless (I read somewhere that they sift the sand to make it softer to walk on), the food is outstanding, and they have an onsite activity company called Red Sail Sports that offers everything you could want to do.
I went last October with my boyfriend. We stayed at the Westin (formerly the Wyndham). It had just been renovated and was beautiful! The rooms are luxurious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Each room has a balcony. We opted for a room with a view which cost slightly more, but worth it to be able to walk onto the balcony and see the ocean. Also we signed up beforehand as Starwood preferred guests and got to stay on the preferred guest floor (higher with a better view).
The trip cost us $1600 each for all-inclusive (food and drinks). Definitely worth it since Aruba can be expensive. They have a buffet for breakfast with everything you can imagine, a nice beach-side lunch spot, and 5 other restaurants (including Italian, Japanese, steakhouse/fish). They also have a romantic dinner on the beach at sunset, very intimate. There’s also a casino, dinner show, beach-side tiki bar, spa, pool, etc.
The Westin also has it’s own beach, which is right there when you walk outside. The staff is very accommodating. They offer a number of water sports (non-motorized sports are included in all-inclusive).
I will definitely stay there again. I know a lot of people that stay there and love it. I’ve also heard the Occidental is nice and slightly cheaper for all-inclusive. It was my second option. You can’t go wrong with any of the high rises. They are all beautiful.

The Bucuti is a low-rise that doesn’t allow children. My aunts and uncles stayed there in April and loved it. I’m not sure about the pricing.
